We all need a home, a bed and a throne,
Why do we think it's ok to leave these people along,
We need to atone, thats why I wrote this poem,
This is the worst crisis that we've ever known,
I know times are tight but mind the widows mite,
Give as much as you can not as much as you'd like,
See the plight, don't ignore out of fright,
Stop folk sleeping on the streets tonight,

The cold in his chest is turning into flu,
And with weeks of winter left he doesn't know what to do,

After all he's been through, if they only knew,
They still wouldn't care, it's sad but it's true,
He's not one of the few buying shit brand new,
But a few years ago he was just like you,

They all see a problem but don't see a person,
We all see them drunk but don't see them hurting,
Those in charge only wanna see them working
And if you can't get a job in this world your worth nothing,
They think that cuffing and shipping them off is a solution,
All I see is them ignoring and abusing,
As if this life is one of their choosing,
Stop saying no and stop fuckin refusing.
